About The Rossmount
Situated just five minutes from downtown St. Andrews-by-the-Sea, Rossmount offers a sense of retreat while remaining closely connected to the region’s most loved experiences — from coastal golf and renowned gardens to the harbourfront and surrounding natural beauty.

The Inn features 18 thoughtfully appointed guest rooms, complemented by landscaped grounds, a veranda, and a heated saltwater pool with a relaxed, sunlit deck.

From the property, guests can step directly into the landscape — with walking trails leading up Chamcook Mountain, through vineyard paths, meadows, and gardens. Our kitchen gardens remain at the heart of the experience, where Kaley, our gardener, alongside members of the culinary team, are often available to share their knowledge or offer a guided look at what’s in season.

At the centre of Rossmount is its dining experience — quietly refined and rooted in place. The restaurant is guided by a market-driven approach, highlighting local and seasonal ingredients with a focus on simplicity, balance, and restraint. An intentionally curated wine list complements the menu, while the adjacent lounge, The Rossi, offers a more intimate setting with a considered selection of classic cocktails and an expanded collection of single malt whiskies.

Rossmount is open seasonally from mid-April through the end of the year. Dinner is served seven evenings a week for both inn guests and the public, with reservations recommended in advance to ensure an unhurried experience. Breakfast is offered daily for in-house guests. The restaurant remains closed for lunch, with the exception of select special events.

After more than two decades, the 2026 season marks a new chapter under the stewardship of Alicia and Ryan MacDonald. Recognized for their thoughtful leadership and entrepreneurial vision — including their work with The Hollows Golf Club and The Rouxbarb — their connection to the region is both personal and deeply rooted.
In continuing the legacy established by Chris and Graziella Aerni, their approach is grounded in a quiet, deliberate philosophy — one that values food prepared with restraint and integrity, hospitality that is attentive without intrusion, and spaces designed to encourage connection. It is a way of working that allows the seasons to guide the table, and places care and stewardship above spectacle.

Rossmount has always been a place shaped by time, intention, and a deep respect for its surroundings.
This next chapter is simply a continuation of that story — thoughtfully carried forward.
